Do You Have a Squeeze Page?

Successful internet marketers all have one thing in common. It is their bread and butter. It is the one part of their business that they can utilize week in and week out to make money online. Of course I am talking about their list…
Any marketer, online or offline, will tell you that you must have leads to sell something. A lead is simply someone who might be interested in your product that you have the chance to sell to. In online terms, that means someone who visits your sales page or someone that you can send emails to.
A group of leads that you can send emails to is known as your list. Your list becomes your number one source of leads to sell to on a regular basis. How do you end up with a list of leads? One of the best methods to build a list of leads is with a squeeze page.
A squeeze page is a web page whose singular purpose is to get your lead to give you his email address so that you can then add him to your list of leads and communicate with him on a regular basis. If you have been interested in making money online, and have visited some websites looking for information on how to do that, you most likely have seen and filled in some squeeze pages.
If you have gone to a website, and the first thing that you see is a page asking you to fill in your name and email address, then you have seen a squeeze page in action. These pages are called squeeze pages because it’s purpose is to “SQUEEZE” the email address from the visitor or lead.
Squeeze pages have very simple content. One of the most popular types of squeeze pages is one that promises to provide you with a free report, or a free article or even a free ebook as a reward for filling in the contact information and thereby asking you to agree to receive periodic emails from the website marketer.
These squeeze pages consist of a brief description of the free report and a few boxes where the name and email address are filled in and a submit button to click on when done. The most effective squeeze pages are no more than one screen long.
A good way to find examples of squeeze pages is to type marketing keywords into Google and click on some of the results that come up. You should see a number of squeeze pages asking for your email. Study the way they are constructed. Note the ad copy on the page. Look at the boxes to be filled in. See what kind of information the marketer is compiling.
Print out some of these pages and put them in a notebook so that you have a collection of examples that you will be able to model your squeeze pages after. Squeeze pages are an important part of internet marketing. The lists of leads that you can generate from those pages will be the building blocks of your online business, and are without doubt the most important tools in your business armoury.
