Top Six Ways To Guarantee Big Post-Launch Profits…

As my regular readers and subscribers will know, I’m launching Build Your eBay Empire Classified in just 5 days time, and I want to make 100% sure I put out the best launch I can.
So whilst I was thinking of of some powerful post launch strategies, instead of keeping them under wraps, I figured I would just share them with you instead!
So here they are:
1. After you make the sale: Ensure that the product ’sticks’ - make it less likely for returns or refunds to occur AFTER THE SALE
2. Set up an autoreply message giving away a ’secret’ of the product, to get the buyer engaged in it - (so that a refund is the last thing on their mind)
3. Testimonials - send buyers the opportunity to leave a testimonial for their purchase, but not just any old testimonial - send them a request using a professional Testimonial software, such as AudioGenerator (or the equivalent). This gets buyers really involved… if they leave a positive testimonial, they are less likely to request a refund.
4. Offer solid follow up support - Either open a forum, or do teleseminars to build and grow a community of like minded people to build a bond with your customer base.
5. Extra ’timed’ bonus: Give a bonus to the customer shortly before AND after refund deadline.
Surprise bonus: Give your buyers a download with value - revealing ADVANCED tips/secrets of your product, a week or so after purchasing.
6. Personal Thank you - Another less used, but highly effective method is to CALL or SEND A SIGNED POSTCARD your buyer to thank them for purchasing. They’ll feel happy and important that you took the time to call or write. (Plus, they never refund on you)
So when launch time comes around for Build Your eBay Empire Classified just make sure you forget all the above!
Seriously though, remember to apply all these strategies in your product launches, whether they be on a huge scale or to a tiny little niche. They are powerful, and work very well…

Nice post title - short and too the point.
You raise some good points, although I totally disagree with the first one. I believe not giving refunds can seriously damage your reputation as an ethical marketer.
You want to stop serial refunders from buying in the first place by using software like Big Mike’s Refund Guard (http://www.incansoft.com/IS0002.php - that’s not an affiliate link).
Sure you’ll get a few silly refund requests first time round, but you can reduce the chances of that person buying any of your products again…

Great point, however there are 2 sides to every interpretation. I agree with you to a degree.
There’s a fine line between opinions, hence why I respect your point so highly.
However, I wouldn’t want to shut out ANYONE from buying my products as the affiliate links within them are a considerable source of my income.
Even in the event that anyone DID REFUND on me, they would receive a negative strike (as Clickbank manage my affiliate programmes).
So I STILL get the potential of big affiliate income, EVEN from the minority of refunders that are inevitable when selling digital items online.

Hi,
Regarding the 1st point of not giving refunds. If your shipping from the UK there is a DISTANCE SELLING law that requires you to give a refund if requested, within 7 days of delivery.
I also agree with Colins comments and would not myself purchase from anyone that does not offer a refund. If the product is GOOD enough you wont get many refund requests anyway.

This post seems to have caused quite a stir!
I must make myself clear on this one Brian - I am talking about purely downloadable products sold directly from a website sales page. NOT physical products.
Also I am NOT suggesting that I would not refund anyone, I ALWAYS REFUND customers when requested to do so, customers are my life-blood!
I am merely giving you the systems to implement to ensure higher profits during a post-launch phase. My apologies for not making that as clear as I could have
As I stated, these are PURELY marketing tactics that you can implement and are extremely powerful, so apply them to your business immediately - you’ll be glad you did!
