Setting Up Your Internet Marketing Payment System…

One of the most important parts of your internet marketing system is collecting the purchase amount from your customer. If you can’t collect money, then you are out of business. I am going to explain how to get some good and inexpensive ways to collect money and show you how easy they are to set up…
If you are selling a downloadable product, you have a very simple and easy alternative. You can use Clickbank. Clickbank is one of the worlds largest seller of ebooks. They will act as your agent and handle all of the transactions and then send you a check every two weeks like clockwork.
The process of setting up Clickbank is very simple. You sign up for an account. You enter information about your product and the price you want to sell it at. You also designate where you want to send your customer when they have finished paying, usually to your thank you page or your download page.
Clickbank will give you a line of code. All you do is insert your id number and the number of your offer into that code, and use that as your buying link. When your customer clicks on that link, they are immediately taken to the Clickbank page where they make the payment and at the end of the process they find themselves at your designated thank you page.
As I stated earlier, you can only use Clickbank if you are selling an electronic product. An electronic product is an ebook, an audio product, a video product or anything else the is delivered to your customer either by email or through download link. You cannot sell cd’s or DVD’s or any other physical product using Clickbank. If you want to sell a physical product you can use PayPal.
PayPal is owned by eBay. If you are doing business on eBay, it is already integrated into all of your transactions. If you have your own website, it is a very simple process to set up a pay button or link for PayPal to handle the financial transaction.
You must use PayPal for a physical product and not Clickbank, but even if you are selling an electronic product you can still use PayPal. PayPal will work with both.
Again, like Clickbank you need to open an account at PayPal if you do not already have one. Another easy procedure. Once your account is established you can start to use PayPal on your website. You will need either a premier or business account with PayPal to collect funds. There are instructions on PayPal about that.
On PayPal, you navigate to the merchant services tab. There you should find an area that says create buttons. Click on buy now and you will be guided through a process that will configure the button. All you have to do is answer some questions one of which is the price your are selling your product at. Once you are through the process, PayPal generates a few lines of code that becomes your pay button.
From there it is a simple matter of pasting that code into your web page where you want your pay button located. Click save and you should have your PayPal pay button installed and ready to go. When your customer clicks the BUY NOW button, they are taken to the PayPal page where they input their pay info and then are sent on their way back to the page you designated. Your customer can then download your product, or you can send him the physical product. The proceeds of the sale are deposited directly into your PayPal account instantly available to you.
Collecting money from your customers is an important part of your sales system. Although it is important, it does not have to be complicated. Clickbank and PayPal are two easy and convenient services you can use to take care of that part of your sales system.
