My Investment In Productivity…

In an attempt to fine tune and increase my productivity, I have just signed up with BT Mobile Broadband so that I can access the internet whilst I ‘m on the move, and for when I’m NOT out and about, I have my new Virgin 20MB VIP Broadband Connection in my home office, as part of a complete install today NIIIICEE :)

As you can see from the pic - I am still getting to grips with things, but I’ll get there in a few days!

Even things like the speed of your net connection can have serious knock-on effects in your overall productivity - so bear that in mind when planning your next I.M. move, and try to set yourself small term REALISTIC goals and you hopefully will see more of your projects come to life much much faster!

Unfortunately, the down side of my investment? Well now I have the new luxury/distraction of HD TV in every room in our house and Liverpool FC TV :) So I must try to not give in to temptation!

Another UP side,  my kids also now have 20MG wireless broadband in their rooms - so at least if MY productivity doesn’t increase their homework productivity will!

Your comments are appreciated as always :)

  1. How many remotes have you got there Ray? My wife would be in seventh heaven with all those at hand (Well she is a bit of a control freak.)

As for productivity, I find that when the wife and kids are out of the house my productivity soars for some strange reason.

  2. Haha

    Hi Terry,

LOL, I must say I have to agree on BOTH counts…

I am looking at a small office to LET in town, so hopefully soon, I will not have the problem of getting rid of the loved ones to do some “so called work”…

Thanks for taking the time to post.

    Ray

  3. Hi Ray

    Nice setup you have :)

I think to increase productivitiy its a good idea to close MSN so you can get on with working.

    Regards

  4. Hello Ray,
A good way to increase productivity would be to either work on a pc that’s not connected to the internet or if its a must to have the internet, to block any websites that may be a distraction. A big distraction would also be constantly checking your email so also limiting the times you check your email would save lots of time.

    Best Regards

    Sergio
