The 5 main aspects in product launch I would firstly have to say is the main aspects of the factors of P’s in which are
Product, Price, Place, Promotion and People. However there are other aspects in which you could look at but as a qualified marketer I still stand by my guard and say these are the 5 key areas before product lauch.
Ray I wish you much success in 2010.

I give in Ray, I’ll wait and see what your readers come up with….
I didn’t have time to study the 5 things as I’ve been staring my my inbox for too long waiting for marketers to get back to me ….LOL
(tends to happen if they keep telling you to remind them – and you write countless times… only to get replies promising it’s been sorted, again and again and again!)
I guess some people are too busy to actually bother keeping their promises…. What do you think?
What’s the best way to get people to keep their word?
Or would you suggest just forgetting those and focusing on the ones who do?
I’m sure your readers would be interested in your answer

Randy

1 A squeeze page with a good front-end product to give away and build the list.
2 Good One-Time-Offer products for upsell and downsell options.
3 Joint Venture Partners
4 Joint Venture Partners
5 Joint Venture Partners
There’s a lot more could be said about the technical side, Butterly Marketing, affiliate programs, split testing, payment options etc. However having gone through the process myself and experienced first hand what is involved (with Ray’s guidance) I can say without question that the key factor is building relationships with other marketers. The support and collaboration of other marketers makes a MASSIVE difference.
Quite simply, it is “THE SECRET”

Hi Randy
Thanks for your honest comments! One of the reasons I’ve come in is to share the workload with Ray. And – dare I say it – to add a little more organisation to his knowledge and enthusiasm.
As someone who has bought your products (I wrote my first ever sales letter thanks to your Sales Letter ABC) and enjoys reading your blog, I personally think it is better if we work together – as do you judging by your remarks. It sounds like that hasn’t happened as it should, and I must say I agree with the second half of your statement -
“What’s the best way to get people to keep their word?
Or would you suggest just forgetting those and focusing on the ones who do?”
Allow me to make a suggestion. Send me an email
*admin AT bestmultimediaguides DOT com*
fill me in with what’s happened/not happened and what YOU would like to happen. I am 100% confident we can work something out that you are happy with. In either case after we’ve exchanged emails maybe you can leave your comments on here – good or bad – as to what you think.
Deal?
Look forward to hearing from you

• You have to plan your launch. Every step must be planned and summarized very carefully so that you have a proper direction and power. You do not want to send invitation to the disaster on your launch, do you? A disaster on the day of your launch is the end of the product.
• The strategy of marketing the product must be written down in details. And you need to finish the marketing strategy before the day of the launch. Success will be distant and a dream if the marketing strategy is left incomplete.
• For a proper product launch you must use the variety of advertising, promotional and media devices available in the world. If you ignore any of these, you will be discount a bit from your incoming success. Plan out of the box and really you do not want to discount on your success.
• Take the help and the services of the advertising and public relations agency to have an unstinted product launch. Taking the services of these companies might be a little costly, but after you get successful, the present expense will only seem like small dough. These services will also take away the undue stress from you during the launch.
• Before going in for the product launch ensure that all the aspects of the launch are included. Proper Planning, good co-ordination, and utilizing all the media tools successfully will provide you a successful product launch and will also provide you with instant profits. These are some important information about product launch.

I would have to say of course you need the product.
Then you need to get JV partners and also give them the tools to promote with, but most of all to make it a success you need trafic.
Good product + Traffic = Sales
All the best in the year ahead,
James

Hi Again Ray & Robert,
Thanks to both of you for your emails and replies on here
I’m pleased for Ray that Robert has partnered up ……
Sometimes we all struggle as we gain success with more and more emails in our inbox, and it gets harder and harder to kleep track of everything!
That’s when we need help to stay organized – so I think the timing is perfect for Ray and Robert to combine forces
I can only see this having a positive impact on your business.
Touching on your initial question Ray…
“What elements/factors of marketing create a successful product launch?”
You’ve provenm what I believe to be one of the most important and key ingredients to any success!
And that is to always remember that whatever we sell – we are not in the CD business or the ebook business or the info product business ….
We are in the PEOPLE business by way of ebooks/CD’s Etc.
Warm Regards
Randy

Hi Ray,
The elements to create a successful product launch I believe are:
1. Affiliates/JVs:
You have to create your army of affiliate and JV partners. You have to give them a good reason to promote your product. A nice commission is NOT enough. You have to take care of your JV partners. Give them lots of promotional material. Educate them, show them how to promote your product and give them all the kinds of promotional materials. Show them how to make money with your product, what will work and not. Build excitement around your product and show them how easy it is to make a commission from your product(s). You have to “market” your affiliates how to “market”.
2. Create a Buzz For Your Product And Name by PreSelling Yourself and Product.
Give your subscribers lots of useful information for FREE. Create different free educational videos, free ebooks and audios with lots of free information related to the subject of your product. Not sales material but some really good information that you would normally sell. Now that you have a good camera doing a free live webinar is also great. Show them a preview of what they will get. Educate your subscribers and website visitors so they trust you enough, become an authority around the niche of your product. Build excitement around your product and a buzz about the product so they can’t wait until they can buy your product.
3. Early Bird List:
Build an Early bird list (waiting list) with the help of affiliates, JVs and yourself. This list has at least 3-5 more value than any other I.M. list you have. These are almost buyers of your product. On this list you will have people that are interested about your product and almost decided to buy it. They will get the “secret page” where they can buy your product 1 hour before it officially launches.
4. Bonuses To First Buyers:
Give different extra bonuses that are related to the product to the first 100, 200 300 buyers that will buy the product. People might be 99% interested but there always will be people that will leave it for later, and later never comes. Urgency helps. Why not buy it now and also get the free bonuses?
5. Your Product:
Of course you also have to give a really good product that is valuable and will help people. Don’t only give a 100 pages ebook. Create a video series showing them exactly instead of just telling them in the ebook. Also create audio versions of your product. Different people like different formats. Create more bonuses. This can be also an ebook, a video, an audio interview etc something that will give real extra value to the buyer.
These are the top 5 but here are some more….
6. Salesletter:
Also a good saleletter written by someone with good copyright skills is also needed. However if you have successfully created a buzz around your product and name and have thousands of people waiting you to go live they will not even read and look on your salesletter. They will be busy clicking the “buy button”.
7. O.T.O.
The people that bought your product are in a “buying mood” so if they bought your $97 product a large percent will also buy your one time offers.
All the best,
Andreas

Hi Ray& Rob,
I have been racking my brains now whilst chatting to Ray on skype and I I cannot come up with a better comment that Andreas, well done mate
[Reply]
Hi Ray,
Here are main things that come to mind for a launch:
1] Before the launch, explain the pains or problems that people are having and your solution which is what your product can do or provide via video, at the same time
giving valuable content that people can use right now for their business.
1b] give away one of the best strategies or techniques of the product via video, audio, email or teleseminar which adds great value and builds relationship.
2] Have one-time limited offers in place for the upsells.
3] send a set of pre launch emails reminding of a launch coming up to create buzz and keep the launch in the minds of your subscribers.
4] Nearer to the date of the launch add a further bonus to sweeten the deal further, make it even more enticing and is a good excuse to send another email broadcast adding more value to the product and improving the relationship.
And send a broadcast just before the launch is to start, to remind them.
5] Have your JV’s pre written emails for their broadcasts to their own list, include marketing tools and even prizes to motivate them.
And another, I think it’s an important one:
6] Create a sense of urgency by offering a discount to the first say 500 buyers before the price goes up or if appropriate say [and mean it], that their is going to be a monthly membership instead of the one time fee for the product.
Thank you for the opportunity Ray.
Take care
Tony

Hey Ray,
The Five Main Essential elements needed to have a successful Product Launch I’d say is:
1st Element – Good Product. You have to have a Product that has been proven to work and ends with real results. No one wants to promote a crappy mythical product. Plus, very good angle (storyline) of your product that makes everyone wants to jump on it. At the end of the day, you are the owner of the product and it’s crucial to brand yourself with a product that really works. Plus, having a real product that gives people money will make you business down the line more easier to sell products.
2nd Element – Planning. If you’re not planning to succeed,, then you’re planning to fail. Planning and mapping everything out is something that you can’t miss in a launch pad. Running around muti- tasking is something I do not want to do, so planning your launch is critical. For example, who going to do what, outsourcing copy, graphics, handling customer service, back up plan if something goes wrong, and who is handling technical issues, and etc…
3rd Element – JV/Affiliate Recruits is the main source of Fast Traffic that a Launch needs. Without them, people will not be able to set million dollar records. One of the tricks of recruiting them is, build relationship and give them the best benefit deals ever. Remember, whats in it for your JV’s? For example: Run contest which can mean a lot (being known as the top affiliate, top prizes, money, and etc…), Give them 60-100% commissions, build long term partnership, reciprocal mailing, and etc… This will make them want to jump in and help you on your launch too.
4th Element – Timing/Pre-Launch. Giving Two weeks rundown notice before launch is the usual time for launching a product. Inside the two weeks, there is little ingredients that can measure your launch to be successful or not. This is where you add salt and pepper to make your pre-launch go viral. Don’t expect for people to love you if you’re giving out PLR products and articles, this is when you give out the best of the best, example 1 or 2 best parts of your product ( a video or chapters), sneak peeks, proofs and etc… Something of value that makes people talk and spread the info virally. This is the time to sell yourself and introduce yourself and make people feel more comfortable, educate them about your product, and creating urgency and scarcity… Besides all the good stuff, it’s important to give your JVs enough time to prepare for your launch. This is the time to get subscribers to optin into your autoresponder so you can follow up with your prospects during launch period and post launch.
5th Element – Launch, some people never launched when comes time. Nah, 5th Element is, post launch. Post launch is somewhat important too. Following up with prospects can make more money and give all JVs and Affiliates what their were there for and build relationships.

I apologize but I could of swore, I spaced them paragraphs. Hope you guys can read it. BTW, nice Job Ray. Can’t wait to see what your launch is going to be.

Hi Ray & Rob
Congratulations on your new (business) partnership, all the best for the coming year.
The elements/factors of marketing create a successful product launch:
1. Research – One of the keys to succeeding online is to find an eager target market (or ‘hungry crowd’) to which you can provide a product to educate or to solve a particular problem that they may have. To do this you must research both the market and demand as no matter how good the product or launch, without customers and a need it will fail!
2. Product – Once you have ascertained that there is a suitable market and demand or need then you need to produce a quality product which will fulfil the purpose, be it training, education or to solve a problem. In this day people expect things instantly and in a variety of different formats so you need to encompass written word, spoken word and ideally video to have a broad appeal.
3. Plan – So you have a market and a product, but now what? You need a plan. You must create a plan to set up the product with the infrastructure (hosting, payment processing etc) as well as your strategy. How many upsells/downsells are you using? What does your sales funnel look like? When is the best time to launch? How can you advertise the launch? How do you get affiliates & JVs on board?
4. Create an event – So now you put the plan into action and start to create an event around the product and the launch. Create and distribute content, get forums and blogs talking about it and start to use social media and video to create a buzz and get people talking about your product in the community. You can attract JV’s through contacts, networks and newsletters. Give them tools and materials to assist and get them working for you.
5. Preview – by now your event should have started to collect your pre-launch leads and you continue providing taster info and excerts to pre-sell prior to the big day. Consider an early entry Webinar to enable questions and issues and also to open the sales page early to let some customers in to test the sales process prior to the big day.
6. Launch – so you’re good to go. You can include some time limited bonuses and some early bonuses and many of your affiliates will have put together their own packages. You need to ensure that you open the doors on time and that your server is ready and able to take the traffic and orders (nothing worse than it going down and you losing sales as people cant buy the product!).
Then once the dust settles your follow up mechanisms kick in and you leverage your sales funnel.
Whilst I may have glossed over it the key at all times is testing which helps in your preparation. You test your product, your niche, your sales letter, your website, your links, your cart etc. As ultimately the process could cause you to fall down and by testing along the way you can take steps to rectify issues and have a successful launch.
So here is to our success in 2010
Tom

Gidday Ray, new office is the way to go mate. My comments are from the last 12 months of personal experience of new product launches. ( Not mine , haven’t had any ) This is straight from the gut.
1. Identified product for the target niche. (maybe identified from subscriber comments or google search what is needed or your own personal experience. A unique product preferable no rehash, a total remake over is okay. If the inferior model sold well then the remodel should do just as well.
2. Beta testers well established in the particular niche the product is developed. (in secret)
3. Recommendations and Review sites developed for the proof of the product /s performance and warrants to meet market expectations.
4. Beta testers and big list JV bonuses added to the sales campaign. This may include price specials for JV subscriber lists. ( Shear turnover will pay for any discounts on price). However JV’s must declare the discount on the basis of friends rates not because product is worth less then what the general market is paying.
5. Reliable and experienced host for server hits by the market buyers. Choose the same hosting as big list marketers use just to be safe.
6. Anticipate for the questions that the market may ask about the product by conducting a video or better yet a professional presenter / JV partner to assist with a webinar and mail out to lists for early bird viewing of the webinar.
7. Do not forget about options for payment. ie
full price
Half down 50% residue in 30 days or
Third down 33% and two further instalments in 60 days.
I am assuming the webinar and JV recommendations (video) preferably will surpass sales letters and not forget a retweet button for twitter users, face book , digg etc links on video sales page.
That’s all for now thanks

Richard,
Thats a fantastic set of comments you put there. Looks like we may have to go over the 5 ONLY spots eh Rob??

In addition to what Tom said above, you need to prelaunch or give lots of relevant good content to heat up your leads which get from your affiliate or JV partners.
I guess the more pricely a product is the more content you need to give
