Blogging and article marketing are more and more intertwined. Blogs are quickly becoming a mainstay of internet marketing.  You would be hard pressed to find a successful internet marketer who did not have a blog.

As I mentioned in a post just a few days ago, there are a number of ways to use blogs to enhance your online success.  I explained how blogs are a great way to launch a new product.  Another way to utilize blogs is by posting articles.

You may already know that articles are an important part of any traffic building strategy.  You may not know that articles are extremely important to building your blog presence online.  In order for your blog to be successful you must have consistent fresh content.

The easiest and most widely used way to feed fresh content to your blog is with articles.  The articles you use can be articles you wrote, but they don’t have to be.  You can utilize article directories to find article content.  These directories are repositories of thousands of articles on every subject you can imagine. 

If you are in need of article content, you merely go to one of the directories, search the topic you need content for and post an appropriate article on your blog.  The only stipulation when using directory articles is that you include the authors resource box when you post the article.

When you use an article you did not write, you can still add your own personal touch by writing an introduction to the article with a few bullet points of why you thought it was important to share with your readers.  In this way you still maintain yourself as an expert in your field even when using other’s articles.

Branding yourself as an expert in your niche is one of the purposes of utilizing articles on your blog.  Another reason for using articles is to keep your readers coming back.  The new relevant information that you post is what your readers are thirsting for.  If they know every time they visit your blog there will be new information, they will visit more often.

Another reason to use articles on your blog is to enhance your rank in the search engines.  The more new content the search engine spiders find on your blog, the more they will like it and the higher your blog will rank for relevant keywords.  By utilizing links from your blog to your product sites, a higher rank for your blog will translate into higher ranks for your other sites too.

If you use your own articles, a few days after posting on your blog you can then post your articles to article directories.  Post your blog first so that the search engines recognize your blog as the original site for those articles.

Posting articles to your blog is smart online marketing.  Articles supply fresh content stimulating visits and enhancing search engine rank.  Articles on your blog solidifies your status as an expert in your niche.  Good article content also strengthens your relationship with your readers,and strong relationships mean more sales.
