Big Changes At Ray-Johnson.co.uk! (And Why It’s GREAT For You!)

Hi everyone,

Ray here with some EXCITING news to share with you.

Over the last few months I have experienced some quite HUGE growth, and none of that would have been possible without YOU, so I wanted to first thank you all from the heart for your support, encouragement - and if I am honest with you helping me create popular products that help people move forward in their quest to make real money online…

Now that’s out the way, I’m gonna explode!

Explode with excitement that is, because I have just been on the phone all week and most of today arranging and finalising viewings for my own Office!

I’m not 100% which one it will be, as I am currently having some issues finding one with real ease of access for me and my wheelchair, but it should be one of the two below…

SO I NEED YOUR HELP! Which do you prefer?

This is my preferred location in Rugby UK, and this picture shows the beautiful views I could be seeing whilst I’m working for you!

This is the inside of the Rugby premises, and the office layout I’ll have…

This is my 2nd choice space, and a little more local to me, but kinda matches my logo doesn’t it? :)

As you can see from the pictures above, these are a few I have been looking at, and I will let you know with pictures when I finally move into one or the other!

All the offices have:

  • BROADBAND
  • ISDN
  • AIR CON
  • MEETING ROOMS
  • BOARD ROOM
  • CAFETERIA
  • SECURITY AND PARKING

So what’s this got to do with you?

Well, having my own swanky office not essential, but it will allow be to be FAR more productive in getting out more and more useful products that help you move forward online - and that has to be a good thing right?

Over the coming days I’ll be driving around on viewings here and there, so stay tuned and I’ll keep you all updated real soon…

Please let me know what you think the best one is in your comments… I can’t wait to hear them!

  1. Hi Ray

That looks pretty good. Reminds me of old office before I left the UK! I have to say it makes a lot of sense to aim towards getting your own office eventually.

The idea of using a spare bedroom sounds great in theory. However the trouble is you get too many distractions from family members who don’t understand that just because you’re not leaving the house to go to work in the morning doesn’t mean that you’re not working! Yes Mrs Black I’m talking to you. Grrrr!

Robert Black (current office - kitchen table in mother-in-law’s house)

  2. Hehe totally Robert,

Although my office is currently my lounge (and I will miss it I am sure) the 42″ plasmas, the XBOX360, TV on demand…

Mind you - it IS a positive move and one that I hope will really supercharge my productivity!

(AND NO KIDS IN THE WAY - Woo - Hoo!) Only joking Tom, Char, Bailey and Ellemae :)

Thanks for the comment and I’ll let you know how it goes.

    Regards

    Ray

  3. Hi Ray!

i think it is a huge step for someone to have own office, although some problems may arise… one of them, as it was already mentioned, the family… this work you do is a 0-24 one, and it may be hard for them to understand that you go to work in the morning, and after going home you continue, but i hope it will make your work much much more effective!
Not if it weren’t effective righ now… :)

    cheers again: Alex

  4. Hi Alex

Thanks for the comments mate, and in all honesty I see your point.

However the main reason I’m going to get an office is not only to increase productivity and output, but to seperate work from home….

Although I’ll miss the kids and my girl - thery’ll thank me for it in the long run!

    Thanks for dropping by!

    Regards

    Ray

  5. Hi Ray,
Looks like either one would be excellent although the location of the first looks lovely. I could not be more pleased that everything is going well for you. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Just make sure that you do not over do it.

Back to my dining room (I mean my office) now.

    Take care

    Ken

  6. Hi Ken

Good to see you here again!

…and thanks for the comments - it’s appreciated!

I COULD’NT agree with you more, and believe it or not the rates are CHEAPER with a view like that!

Thanks again for your thoughts… :)

    Ray

P.S. The dining room is a GOOD start, just don’t get distracted by the food LOL :)

  7. Ray,

I agree, I think moving to an office will do wonders for your business, as working from home tends to make the business feel like “just a hobby business”.
Its all very convenient, but there are so many distractions.

I work from home and like you and am hoping to eventually set up an office.

On reflection, this is strange, people working in an office are dreaming about working from home and here we are dreaming about working from an office!!

The Rugby premises look very nice. Easy access for you and only one junction up the M6 from Bedworth to Rugby.

(It was very sad news on Tuesday about the young lad losing his life in the quarry at Nuneaton, only 16 as well)

  8. Hello Ray,
The first location looks stunning but would there be too many distractions going on outside? This is an important next step which is well deserved for your hard work and commitment to helping people succeed.Keep up the good work.
    Regards Davidb.

  9. Hi Simon

Thanks for your comments - first things first, yes it was terrible news RE: the young lad that died. Life is more important than marketing for sure!

As for the point you raise, I KNOW I’m going to miss home and the kids etc, but it is all about going out of the comfort zone isn’t it?

    Thanks for the input Simon,

    Ray

  10. Ray,

I’d go with the big windows and duck pond. Far classier than than the industrial strip-mall prison.

    :)
    Barbara

  11. Hey Barbara

    GOOD POINT :) hehehe…

Thanks for the comments and keep well!

    Ray

  12. To be honest Ray I thought the first one was a picture of your new house. :-)

I must say it looks a much nicer environment to work in than the industrial unit but staring out of the window at the lovely view and all the commuting would a waste of valuable work time.

Only you will know what is best for your situation but getting away from distractions will help you to really focus on your business. I know all about distractions, believe me.

P.S. I am glad to see you are still buoyant after Tuesday night.

  13. I would choose the one that is cheaper. Just go eay on he expenses. Of course, that’s my “frugal” Scottish ancestry! :)

  14. Hiya Terry :)

Hehehe my new house is a bungalow and is a lot smaller than that! :) Have to watch out for stairs in my old age!

I tend to agree with you - I want a place that looks OK, but allows me to drive everything forward you know?

OK the lovely sceney is good for image and bringing business partners back to the office, but would I get more done? I DUNNO HELP!

    :)

RE: Tueday - great game, understrength team too, and my thoughts are with the 96 families my friend the premirer league is a dead cert.

    :)

Regards and thanks for taking valuable time to comment Terry.

    Ray

  15. Hi Pat

I thought it was just wme who was tight with the purse strings… !!

Thanks for the food for thought.

    Regards

    Ray

  16. If you want to improve your working environment the inside office space is more important than the beautiful view - I’m guessing that you won’t spend all your time looking out of the window.

I would focus on the air quality - do the windows open, the temperature control available to you. Lots of new offices have really stuffy air and are too hot in summer and too cold in winter.

And finally the light. The top office looks poorly lit with bad shadows - if you use video conferencing it could look as though you are broadcasting from a dungeon.

A great advantage would be if you had control over your desk lighting and could use daylight bulbs - better protection from eyestrain, headaches and temper.

    Good luck with the hunt

  17. Hi Ros

WOW - well I never thought of that!

Choosing the perfect office is tougher than ever now!

    BUT

Thanks for the AWESOME input, I want to see you back again!

    Regards

    Ray

  18. Hi Ray,

I think everyone has said everything! Personally I’d love to get out into that greenery and eat my sarnies by that pond - I thought the point of being your own boss was that you had time to stop and smell the roses.

A shorter commute and being nearer your family may be important though - then you could do shorter time away from home and spend the rose-smelling time with them. I love doing gardening with my kids (they love it too, honest!).

Good luck with it all - fantastic achievement.

  19. Hi Anne

Thanks for coming up trumps again :)

    Yeah, I’ve created myself a dilemma now haven’t I?

I’m thinking productivity - to help others, because if it were not for you guys I would n’t be here choosing an office right now!

Appreciate the congrats too - it’s really appreciated.

    Ray

  20. HI Ray

I ordered your Make Money From Home Online about 10 days ago but have not put its advice to good use yet. Too many irons in the fire (all of which have potential but, like yours, need to be exercised.

As to your choice of office:

    Practical Considerations:
First and foremost, it must fit your physical requirements. The home may have beautiful surroundings, pleasant home atmosphere, and provide convenience for someone in your situation except for multifloor acccessibility (unless you have an elevator). Privacy quarters are essential for you and guests, if you ever invite them. Make your list of good things on one side–and drawbacks on the other. When you have weighed all practical considerations–comparative cost, maintenance, future unforeseen events, to own or lease, etc. Are you buying or leasing? The house seems to fit your desires and needs. Seems like you might have more family interruptions (nice, if you can get your business work done)

    Financial Considerations:
Are you actually buying whichever one you decide on? Are you in a position to pay CASH for the home? Events in the world can change rather quickly. Living in England, you know that. Don’t get married to a beautiful home and then, for whatever reason, be deprived of a life style you have been used to. Although your income seems very substantial, cycles interfere with the best laid plans of mice and men. ‘Tis best not to have too much confidence in money.

    Spiritual Considerations:
Probably the last thing in the world that most people would do is pray about your decision. If God doesn’t give you peace about your choice, that choice can be as crippling upon your life as your disability. The Bible (especially Proverbs) can give you wisdom beyond your years. Most people do not handle money well. Wealth may buy things that make you happy, but can’t buy you love, peace, joy, a right relationship with God first, and then with your family. Learn the joy in giving and sharing. Many might be bitter and blame God for the accident and disability which happened. You seem to have overcome any bitter feelings. If so, that is more valuable than gold. Read the New Testament. You will find hope there and promise for an unshackled life in the hereafter. There is a Pearl called “good news” hidden within its pages for anyone willing to look for it. Will be looking for what choice you made.

Hoping your day is a joyful one (In our Lord)

    Love, Richard

  21. Ray,

I’ve been a follower of yours for quite a while and have watched you rise up through the ranks. I alsohave bought some of your products. Your content is top notch and the freebies are a great bonus. I’m taking JT’s Masterclass and appreciate your input in the forum there.
The office on top looks like a very nice place to work from. Understand about missing the home life but you know all of the benefits of having an office. Didn’t care for the industrial looking place at all. I hope your office has the window view of the pond, very peaceful, which is important for developing your products and being creative. Keep up your excellent work and take care. Patrick

  22. Hi David

Thanks for input, I’m tossing a coin over this one (or maybe an entirely different office altogether)

    Regards

    Ray

  23. I love the first one, it’s very picturesque and I’d love to be there. That’s why I recommend the second location.

I personally would be too distracted in the first one with the sights outside, especially if there’s the possibility of people out by the fountain. I’d end up people watching instead of working on nice days.

But it’d be awfully hard to turn it down. The second one for productivity.

    - Jeffery

  24. Definitely the first one. It has a nice apperance and seems homey. Also I htink it works best from a prosperity conciousness. The 2nd one is kinda creepy looking and not very appealing.

  25. Jeffrey - thanks for the philosophical outlook maybe you are right - time ill tell I suppose!

REALLY appreciate the feedback (I’ll let you know)

    Regares

    Ray

  26. Hi Cathleen,

Well, it’s haeads and tails now I think.

I think I’ll have to toss a coin!

Both have upsides and downsides right???

BUT I must add the FIRST is actually a LOWER CPM than the more picturesque view.

A GOOD problem to have isnt it? :)

    Thanks for your contribution.

    Ray

  27. Hey Ray

I’d definitely go with the first one. Cool!
The second one looks too industrial…

    Best ;)

  28. Now I’m jealous!

You don’t have a half-moon cut-out on your front door like my office has.

And the seating is better to… my 2 seats have the centers cut-out… and the smell sometimes is awfully “rich” and odiferous.

(PS: Take the big house… with the breath-taking view!)

  29. Hi Ray,
As we say here in the states, “DUH”! Go with your first choice. The great view distraction will wear off shortly, but the view will be there when you need it. You can improve your office lighting as needed, and lastly, you won’t feel like your in jail. (ie:iron bars on doors and windows :) I don’t think a coin flip is needed…lol

    Take care Ray,
    Mike

  30. i choose first picture, so you can work and enjoy fresh environment and fresh seeing

  31. Congratulations Ray!

I love the first building. What a beautiful location in the UK. It’s a dream.

    :-)
    Dali

  32. Hi Ray,

That’s an awesome idea… I’m looking at that option too..but my internet marketing know-how is just starting… so I guess, I’ll let my business runs smoothly first, and then I’ll look for an office. If I were you, I may choose the 2nd option.

    Thanks.

  33. I’m totally with Pat on this one being a Scot ;) but I must say the view is a dream in that first pic. Good luck with the decisions and ‘grats on having the option to make it too! :D

  34. Hi Ray,

The first one would have to be my choice. I couldn’t handle being stuck in some strip mall looking office all day.
With me I just want a bigger house so that I can squirell-away some actual office space here at home (and not the current office/nursery situation). But having to not commute to work and working at home is the whole point of this all isn’t it?!
On the other hand…..productivity I’m sure would increase for me (and you too, I’d imagine) without the kids around (Love them dearly) and some actual office time. If only my boss (Me) wasn’t such a jerk to work for LOL.
Let good fortune and wisdom guide you Ray.

  35. Hey Ray,

Go with the rugby one mate, if you get sick of work one day at least you will have a nice view to chill out with! :-)

    Dave.

  36. Well I think number two is best. It is obviously one floor and easier for you to get around and it looks like it could be expandable when needed. You might even have room and time to do that JV you promised me..

    Good Luck

    Gil

  37. Ray, speaking as a businesswoman and a nurse there are 2 main issues here. Have both access got access for a wheelchair, both inside and out? Do they both cost the same? If yes to both, go for the top one, it looks peaceful in lovely scenery ( needed for thinking forwards ina business, and vistors). the second one looks like an industrial estate, not good for visitors.
    Best wishes.
    Jo

  38. Hi Rick

Ive just come back from arranging more viewings so Monday I THINK and hope will be the day!

    I’ll let you all know!

    Ray

  39. Hi Dave

It seems that the Rugby one is out the question, the rent is a LOT more than expected (but worth it for the views hey)

    Cheers for the comment pal!

    Ray

  40. Hi Gil

OH yes! :) Now you see why I havent gotten tound to it yet - the ellow one seems to have been taken, but I have something special to show you after Monday :)

    Regards

    Ray

  41. Hi Jo,

Wise words - and yes you’re totally right! I like the views but OUCH the cos is HUMUNGOUS :)

I’ll let you know after Monday hopefully which one I end up with!

    Regards

    Ray

  42. Hi Dali

    Thanks!

    Ray

  43. Hi Adi

Thanks for the input - it’s appreciated!

  44. Hi Victoria

Choices choices, I seen a few more good ones today too - I’ll let you know which soon :)

    Regards

    Ray

  45. Hi Faudat

Sure - it’s all starts from the first step though, so WELL DONE for taking it!

    Best

    Ray

  46. PG,

An “office” is still an office - don’t knock it :)

I’ll see you in a few years time in your own Skyscraper right ? :)

    Regards

    Ray

  47. You need to get this choice right. It is no good later on wishing you had gone for the other choice.
The other danger is feeling once you have an office you have exchanged your freedom for a job again. However it does give you a definite break. When you are at home your off duty. When you are at work you can concentrate and get the work done.
    Good luck with your decision.
    Terry

  48. Hi Terry

    Yes I totally agree.

The aim is trying to SKYROCKET mt productivity whilst spending less time at the office… hope it works out like I plan!

It’s a little nervous time but in a GOOD way - I’ll keep you posted, and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts!

    Ray

  49. Hey Ray,

I JUST moved into my office too!

    You’re making a great decision.

  50. You GO Adeel,

My Office should be booked tomorrow (Monday) and has luckily won AWARDS for the best business centre in the Midlands (UK) where I live - I’ll keep you posted, and thanks for sharing - GOOD LUCK!

    Ray

  51. I am really glad reading your article. Thank you very much for sharing great information.

  52. Solid blog. I got a lot of great information. I’ve been following this technology for awhile. It’s intriguing how it keeps varying, yet some of the core components stay the same. Have you seen much change since Google made their latest acquisition in the area?
