Are you article marketing?
A well written article can be just as good as PPC marketing - providing a direct source of instant traffic to your business. Powerful, fact rich articles give the writer (in my case) expert status, and can be a big source of targeted traffic to your website, blog or salesletter.
Written correctly, articles of a high standard will be often used for reprint and also used for other people’s website content as long as there is a reference back to the original author.
The best article site on the net is EzineArticles, because of it’s sheer traffic a lot of people will get the channce to read your articles and click through to your website, perhaps resulting in a new subscriber (which is recommended over ANY sale) or EVEN a direct sale.
Another method of Article marketing is to use article submission sites - which distribute your article all over the internet - to hundreds of websites at once. Often though, these sites are of poor quality or relevance, so the purpose of doing the distribution method is to simply help your site gain authority by relevancy “votes” in the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.
I use ArticleMarketer.com for this purpose and recommend you check them out.
So is article marketing worth it in my opinion? YES!
I have had over 6040+ views JUST from Ezine Articles alone, and 700 site visits, so do not underestimate the power of writing articles, or getting good quality artiles written for you on sites like Elance or Guru.com - get writing today!

To answer your question Ray I am doing article marketing, in fact I was submitting articles just before I read this post. I usually write my own articles for various niches and sometimes I use some PLR articles and convert them to readable English!
Like most people I find it tedious and time-consuming but apparently it works so I will suffer until they invent some software that is smart enough to do it for me.
Back to submitting articles now, *sigh*

To be totally honest with you Terry, I outsource all of my article writing AND submission - and have implemented systems to plug in people to the role so that I’ll have a constant flow of articles, readers, publishers and targeted traffic.
I see your point though as I remeber when I did it all myself! Talk about tedious!
Focus on your skills not your weaknesses!
