6 Goals You Should Have For Your Email Marketing Campaign

Email marketing is one of the core activities of internet marketing. You build a list so that you can market to them through email. Each of your email campaigns should have these 6 goals…
1. Create, Build And Maintain A Relationship With Your Subscribers
The first and foremost goal for your email marketing should be to create a good relationship with your subscribers. If your subscribers are comfortable with you and like your emails and trust you, then they will be much more likely to buy from you. You build relationships with your list by providing them great and useful information about the topic they are interested in. Keep the relationship like friends - just be yourself, and you’ll see the responsiveness of your list grow graadually over time.
2. Find Out What They Are Thinking
Another goal you should have as part of your email program is to get feedback from your readers. Find out if the information you are sending is what they want to read. Ask for comments and criticism. You can use some free reports or a free ebook as a reward for anyone who responds to your request for feedback. You might be surprised at what you learn.
3. Sell Your Products
The ultimate goal, of course, is to sell your products to your list. You should send sales letters or pitches to your email list on a regular basis. Don’t spam them with sales pitches. If you do that you will lose subscribers very quickly. This works hand in hand with relationship building. Interspersed between the useful information you provide them send some sales pitches. If you have built a good relationship with your list they will buy.
4. Sell Affiliate Products
Along with selling your own products you should also sell related products. Once you have a list of buyers, you should on a regular basis continue to market to them. If you don’t have enough of your own products then you should sell them good quality affiliate products that they would be interested in. Usually, if a customer buys once, they will buy again.
5. Get Testimonials
All internet marketers need testimonials. It is one of the key elements in selling your products. Solicit testimonials from your list. Again, bribe them with some free products. The more testimonials you get the better. You can never have enough. (Feel free to leave a testimonial here for Build Your eBay Empire)

6. Recruit Affiliates
The final goal of your email strategy should be the recruitment of affiliates. You can occasionally send information about your affiliate program and show them how they can make money by promoting your product.
