List-building is the number #1 activity online as an internet marketer and shouldn’t be sniffed at – your list will be your main source of revenue for your entire business now and in years to come.

As your list grows so too directly, does your income. Industry experts say that every subscriber you gain is worth $1 per month to your business - so listbuilding should be the sole function of ALL marketers whether newby or advanced. “You can never build your list too big”

So how do you go about building a list?

Well there are many different methods to listbuilding and below are the ones I use in my own business and highly recommend because they work well for me.

1. Viral Listbuilding - dropping links to your optin in list squeeze pages inside eBooks with resale rights, when the eBooks get distributed, so too do the links to your signup pages, and your list grows on autopilot.

2. Google Adwords - direct and instant listbuilding method where you simply pay for targeted visitors to your optin pages.

3. eBay Listbuilding - utilising the power of eBay’s MONSTER traffic! With over 275 MILLION registered users and MILLIONS of $$$$ traded between buyers and sellers daily, there is an excellent chance that you’ll make money aswell as just growing your list!

4. Affiliate Listbuilding - purchase specialist affiliate software that allows pay per lead commissions, you then pay your affiliates for those leads that they generate for you.

5. Giveaways - very effective method of building your subscriber list. You simply donate a product to a giveaway that will provide REAL value and entice people to want it, but in order to get the product – they must give you there name and email address for the priveledge.

6. JV’s - powerful leverage between 2 or more marketers/businesses etc. You approach a list owner who’s list have an interest in your product and offer the product at a reduced price to that list with a share of the profits between the list and product owners. You make sure that there is an optin process BEFORE these list members can access your product. It’s win win all round.

The true reason you need to build your list is…. (the guru’s won’t often tell you this) is to create a list of BUYERS. Only a TINY percentage of people on your list(s) will actually BUY from you – so you need to make your overall list as big as humanly possible.

This will take time – but undertake in activities like I mentioned above, and this will significantly cut the timescale down in building your list AND your profits.
