Ray here with a quick, gruesome but important post AND an apology.

(I know it’s weird but stay with me!)

For the past few months I have felt REALLY under the weather, still do – I’ve had no sleep, (or very little) and excruitating pains for the majority of days hence me not ENTIRELY giving you the good meaty content you deserve as my subscriber….

No this wasn’t me suffering from “lazy-itis” but it has been due to me having Kidney Stones – 3 of the little blighters!

I have had 3 visits to hospital with blues and two’s and enough morpheine to keep a junkie (for a better word) very very happy!

I just wanted to inform you that a) I have now been to a consultant and had scans… I even took you a piccy for you on my iPhone…

b) fortunately I have passed 2 stones (they were very small) – and c) one stone still remains and I’ll be needing surgery to get it out…

And here it is… Introducing my Kidney Stone

The two LARGE masses of white are my hip bones by the way – the Kidney Stone is the smaller whiter thing… and it is 8mm in width and lodged 1 inch from my bladder… (nice)

So know you have seen the little fella for yourself -  I just wanted to let you know, my ill health of late has delayed me delivering this REAL GOOD STUFF to you that I usually deliver, and after all as my subscriber you DESERVE only the best information for FREE right from the horses mouth…

I will be resuming normal service after my surgery around the 15th of October, and the blog will be better and more revealing than ever!

The main good points I can share with you today, or if there’s any tips or lessons I can teach you from my current situation, they are these:

1. We never know what the future will bring, so don’t dwell on starting out in your online business – even if you don’t have the foggiest idea what you are doing you can always educate yourself and ask others. (As John Thornhill always tells me “Google is your friend”).

2. Get your business rolling, even if that means simply buying a YOUR NAME.com domain name and ordering Aweber – you have done something productive that will move you forward – no matter how small…

3. Keep on keeping on. Keep moving forward, even throughout the worst of circumstances. I actually launched AdswapMasterclass.com and I couldn’t even sit at my PC because of the pain! but I knew I had to keep momentum going at all costs. The site went on to gross $11k in TOTAL sales and 5500 subscribers in just 7 days. Not bad hey?

4. It takes a special kind of person mentally to do I.M. for a living – just like any net or entrepreneur, you need drive, guts, determination and like me balls of steel!

I hope you understand and can appreciate my recent health problems – I’ll be back giving you the creme de la creme of internet marketing tips real soon, and if you can’t wait – simply feel free to browse some of the recents posts here, there more than enough good stuff to inspire you!

O.K. I really have to go, I’m busting for a pee (I’m on 6 litres of fluids a day!) and I have my awesome painkillers to take – they’ll knock me out good and cold!

Over the last few months I have experienced some quite HUGE growth, and none of that would have been possible without YOU, so I wanted to first thank you all from the heart for your support, encouragement – and if I am honest with you helping me create popular products that help people move forward in their quest to make real money online…

So what’s this got to do with you?

Well, having my own swanky office not essential, but it will allow be to be FAR more productive in getting out more and more useful products that help you move forward online – and that has to be a good thing right?

Ray here and after just finishing a bout of physiotherapy – I just had to get this blog post out to you – as it will directly affect your moneymaking performance online this year.

I have ALWAYS said that organisation is one of the most important critical success factors when starting/running your own home based internet marketing business, and I’m gonna give you a check up from the neck up today.

Here is a picture of my home office below (apologies as I had to squash and resize the image for it to fit on the blog)

The image is deceptively small, but In the picture you will see that I operate from home, from my front room.

• NOT a swanky office to PERCEIVE my authority…
• NOT an uneccesary EXPENSE I simply DON’T need (I hire staff virtually)…
• I DON’T need to travel to “work” just a few steps from my bedroom and I am working for the day… (isn’t internet marketing all about quitting the 9-5 routine?)

I have all my “tools” of the trade layed out including:

• My Office Desk & Chair – Obviously you need these!
• My Desktop PC – Where the majority of work goes down.
• My Laptop – For when I am on the move.
• My Webcam – For speaking to JV partners, potential $2000 per month mentoring clients and other businesses direct, face to face.
• Subwoofer Speaker (optional extra!) – Often I have music on low in the background – it helps me work faster, more efficiently and better generally. (Although can be scary if you forget to turn in down on MSN!)
• My Wireless Router – The hub of the 4 PC’s laptops and kids game consoles in the house! Invaulable to me but not necessary if you only use the 1 PC.
• Wireless Keyboard – Coz I’m pretty lazy and hate wires!
• Wireless Mouse – Err, coz I’m pretty lazy and hate wires!
• Wireless Printer & Fax - Makes it easy for me to print and send important faxed documents.
• Filing Cabinet – To store all my plans and important documents.
• Phone – To phone people – JV partners, contacts, associates, customers, clients etc.
• Whiteboard – To help me plan my immediate “to-do’s” and ensure that any mindmaps or goals are staring me in the face. This way they are always there and spur you on to achieve them.
• Burning Drive – To burn your own CD/DVD’s for sale (athough I am now in the process of having Scott (my Chief content guy) automate the process using Kunaki.com (watch this space for my all new DVD products in 2009)
• External Hard Drive – To store all my critical data related to business. This are a VITAL piece of kit as I had a PC burnout on New Years Day!
• Yearly Planner – I use this to plan the week, month, year ahead making sure I enjoy time off to enable me to be more productive – work less and do more.
• Inside Filing Cabinet – Flip Video Camera, Wireless Headset, Diary, Tornado FTP transfer tool and my mobile to allow me to connect to my laptop whever I am.

Why am I showing you this?

Because getting organised IS of paramount importance! If you fail to plan, you’ll plan to fail as the saying goes – and also just even creating a nice working environment for your business can really boost your productivity and output generally.

As you can see from the pic – I am still getting to grips with things, but I’ll get there in a few days!

Even things like the speed of your net connection can have serious knock-on effects in your overall productivity – so bear that in mind when planning your next I.M. move, and try to set yourself small term REALISTIC goals and you hopefully will see more of your projects come to life much much faster!

Unfortunately, the down side of my investment? Well now I have the new luxury/distraction of HD TV in every room in our house and Liverpool FC TV So I must try to not give in to temptation!

Another UP side,  my kids also now have 20MG wireless broadband in their rooms – so at least if MY productivity doesn’t increase their homework productivity will!
